Behind the scenes, corporate lobbies and non-governmental organizations play an important role. They try to influence policy by providing data, research, and also funding for certain projects. Thus, they can gain political or economic benefits from the decisions taken. For example, on the issue of climate change, many companies spend funds to support initiatives that align with their business interests. In addition, a global transfer of power occurs when new countries emerge as economic powers, such as China and India. China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) approach, which aims to increase connectivity to Asia, Europe and Africa, shows how the emerging nation is seeking to position itself as a global power. The media also plays a monumental role in global political dynamics. The news conveyed not only shapes public opinion but also puts pressure on the government to act. In the digital era, information can spread quickly, creating fast responses to global issues. In this context, it is important to understand the framing in the news that can influence people’s perceptions of conflicts or policies taken by the government. Human rights issues are also in the spotlight in international relations. States often use human rights violations as a diplomatic tool, either to impose sanctions or to build alliances. Human rights are not only a moral issue but are also increasingly becoming a tool to pressure other countries. The role of technology, especially social media, in global politics cannot be ignored. Platforms such as Twitter and Facebook are often used by world leaders to convey their policies directly to the people.
